Thomas
Soehl is the founder and editor of mudot – magazine for urban documentation,
opinion and theory. From 2003 to 2007 he was editor and pubisher of monu-magazine
of urbanism a publication that he co-founded. He is currently a PhD student
at UC Los Angeles (Sociology). In 2007 he graduated with a masters degree
in public administrationfrom the John F. Kennedy School of Government at
Harvard University. He also has degrees in urban planning (Dipl. –Ing, University
of Kassel, Germany) and political science (MA, CUNY Graduate Center). At
the moment his main project is a comparative analysis of cities in Europe
and the US in regards to dynamics of diversity and inequality. He is the
recipient of several awards and fellowships, most recently the McCloy fellowship
by the German Merit Foundation and Harvard University and the Center for
European Studies at UC Berkeley. |
